Alrighty, so when I'm back in the states after being in France for months at a time I've realized I have a bit of a problem... I GO CRAZY WITH THE SHOPPING. It's pretty bad. Like, need to check with hubby because I've been spending too much and need him to tell me "no" kind of bad. I mean don't get me wrong, France has some great shopping and our apartment is within walking distance of all of the main shops in Le Mans, but there's nothing like going shopping in the states and being able to actually read and understand all of the labels, know what stores you love, and try all of the products you've seen others rave about. And of course, one of the stores I always go craziest at is Ulta. Unfortunately, France doesn't have most of the makeup and skincare brands I use, so when I'm stateside it's the perfect time to a) stock up and b) try new things! Here are some of my most recent finds from Ulta that I have been LOVING: 1. Bondi Boost Rapid Repair Serum

This serum is a leave in conditioner meant to rapidly treat split ends and dry, damaged hair. You simply apply 1-2 pumps to the middle and ends of wet hair after showering. And just to explain to you how "rapid" it is... I have been using it for just over a week and have already seen a significant difference in the health and appearance of my ends. My ends used to be terrible after waking up in the morning, but this has not happened ONCE since starting this serum. It will definitely become a repeated purchase for me. It is Australian made, vegan and cruelty-free, and free from parabens, silicones and sulphates. 2. Dionis Milk & Honey Hand & Body Goat Milk Cream While my hands are not usually ones to get very dry, I have noticed a difference in texture since the major increase in usage of hand sanitizer #thanksCOVID. I had heard good things about this product so I figured why not give it a try, and let me tell you it has NOT disappointed. Since beginning to use it a couple weeks ago, I have seen and felt a significant improvement (and by significant I mean it's all gone) in the dryness and rough texture that had appeared on the top of my hands. It delivers intense, lasting moisture WITHOUT the greasiness that usually accompanies other hand creams. It's also quick to dry and leaves a natural, but really pleasant smell.

3. Mamonde Lip Sleeping Mask

A product I didn't know I needed but will now forever love. I put this lip mask on right before I go to bed and wake up with my lips feeling baby soft! It's not a sheet or gel of any kind that you have to sleep with over your lips, just a simple lip balm that you spread on before going to bed and/or during the day. The Ulta salesperson told me she'd seen a lot of people come to the counter with it in their basket, and after using it for a week I can definitely see why. I would 10/10 recommend.

4. Tula On the Go Best Sellers Travel Kit

By far my favorite Ulta purchase from my trip back home (in addition to the 5 other Tula products I purchased and LOVE of course- don't worry. that will be a separate blog post). But in all honestly, I had heard and seen such great things about this company and so far it has not disappointed. This set is a GREAT, well-priced way to try four of their top products without having to commit to the large purchase of a single one.

This kit includes:

  • Cult Classic Purifying Face Cleanser (1.69 oz)

  • So Polished Exfoliating Sugar Scrub (0.38 oz)

  • 24-7 Moisture Hydrating Day & Night Cream (0.56 oz)

  • Face Filter Blurring & Moisturizing Primer (0.23 oz)

  • TULA blue bag

To get an idea of the value, you get to try all of these products (which are all incredible and have worked wonders on my sensitive skin) for just $52, which is the exact same price of one full bottle of the 24-7 Moisture Hydrating Day & Night Cream. If you have had any interest in trying Tula's products, or have been curious about switching up your skincare routine, I definitely think this travel kit is the best way to go.

5. Wet Brush Princess Ariel Detangler Brush

If you know me you know I'm a sucker for anything "The Little Mermaid," so this hair brush was obviously a nonnegotiable. I feel like Wet Brush has been around long enough that its reputation speaks for itself, but if you haven't used one, they're known for their soft bristles that easily detangle wet or dry hair with over 45% less breakage. And as someone with thin hair as it is, I need the least amount of breakage possible please. 6. Kitsch 100% Cotton Face Mask Sets

Alright y'all, I've tried a lot of face masks out there and these have been my favorites BY FAR! They are extremely soft and comfortable, sit well on my face, don't make my ears hurt after wearing them for more than a few minutes, and most importantly, they're breathable. I even took a few Pure Barre classes in them without a problem. They are both reusable and washable, and on top of all of these comfort advantages, they're also super cute and go with just about any outfit. That's a win win in my book.

7. Drybar Detox Dry Shampoo Coconut Colada As someone who washes my hair AT LEAST every other day, dry shampoo has never really been a staple in my hair care products. I had tried some in the past for those days when my hair starts to get a bit oily up top, but I always hated the super dry texture and grey color it left in my hair. While I was back in the states and not working out as much (and therefore not washing my hair as much lol) I realized I needed to find a dry shampoo I liked ASAP. I ended up liking Drybar's so much I brought it back to France with me. The rice powders in this dry shampoo absorb the oils and odors, while the golden root extract delivers moisture to prevent dryness and breakage that comes with using other similar products. In other words, it does its job will still keeping my hair healthy and without a grey color. Not to mention, who doesn't love the smell of coconut?
