2020 was a year of reflection.
2021 is a year of growth.
And as the new year is underway, I want to take some time to really think about why I became a virtual health and fitness coach so I can determine how it will look moving forward. You see, sometimes the day to day activities that go along with coaching become so repetitive that it becomes habitual, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it makes it easy to forget exactly why you started in the first place and what you should be focusing on to keep you going. When I became a virtual health and fitness coach, my only goals were to finally stay committed to my own health and fitness journey and maybe earn a couple extra dollars to contribute to our family income while living overseas. It took all of a week for me to realize just how tiny those goals were. I fell in love with coaching. Not only was I staying committed to my own health and fitness (and still am a year and a half later), but I was helping others do the exact same. And THAT is what I fell in love with. The idea that I could wake up each day and spend time bettering myself so that I can in return help better others was addicting. I poured myself into coaching while in a new place, new home, and new stage of life and it was exactly what I needed to give myself purpose. It was, and still is, a dream job. But over time I've realized not everyone needs encouragement and accountability in their health and fitness journey. Some people simply want a little bit of happiness brought into their day to day life. Which leads me to now...
Instagram has been a great social media outlet for me since coming to France, but as I look at my goals and where I plan to go moving forward, I know I am capable of doing and providing more. I want to create a positive, empowering platform for all of you out there who truly follow my journey and enjoy keeping up with my life and passions. I want to move beyond just fitness. And don't get me wrong, coaching will still be my biggest passion and priority, and I truly do believe Beachbody has the potential to change anyone's life, as it did mine, as long as they are willing to let it, but I know deep down I want to do more that help the select women who join me on their health and fitness journey. I want to be a source of positivity, encouragement, and confidence for women everywhere.
So, what can you expect from this blog? Honestly, a little bit of everything. Because that's what makes us unique individuals, right- ALL of our likes and interests. I mean if someone were to ask you, "What would your best life look like?" would you really just list ONE THING? As my friend Fat Amy would say, "Lesbihonest." We would all have a nice, detailed description. This blog will be an accumulation of what makes me uniquely me: a little bit of fitness, everyday affordable fashion, wife life, beauty/wellness, travel and french living, mixed with way too much Netflix!
I hope you find my blog honest, real, and relatable, and more importantly, it helps you on your journey to live a confident life you love.
